VEHICLE ARCHITECTURE

An automobile's architecture is its core, and Geely is laying the groundwork for the creation of the vehicles of the future by creating sophisticated modular vehicle architectures.

 

CMA
Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) was born at China EuroVehicle Technology AB (CEVT). More than 2,000 top automotive engineers from 25 countries spent three years devoting to the development of CMA. Since its launch, CMA has won altogether 609patents, embodying outstanding engineering ingenuity.

Thanks to the five global genes of CMA, which are "safety, health,intelligence, performance and energy-saving", Geely Auto developed on this architecture and holds a safe lead in quality and performance among their competitors.
BMA
The B-segment Modular Architecture (BMA) is a compact modular architecture independently developed by Geely for global use. lt took four years to develop BMA by nearly 100 experts from more than 20 countries who have extensive experience in the development and management of modular architecture projects.

GLOBAL R&D CENTERS
HANGZHOU - CHINA
The research center in Hangzhou is responsible for the research, development, and testing of vehicles and key parts. Together with the other R&D centers, Geely has formed a comprehensive platform to develop, research, and tests new innovations for the auto industry.
NINGBO - CHINA
The R&D center in Ningbo, covering an area of 415 acres, integrates the research and development, test, quality control, supplier collaborative development, and independent R&D capabilities for vehicles, engines, transmission.
GOTHENBURG - SWEDEN
The R&D center in Gothenburg focuses on the development and continuous improvement of the modular architecture and components for the next generation cars.
COVENTRY - UK
Founded in 2018, the R&D and design center in Coventry has contributed to the latest innovation in terms of design and functionalities of the new Geely Auto models. The center showcases the commitment to the UK and also shows Britain’s leading position in the areas of creativity and design.
MANUFACTURING

Geely has vehicle and powertrain manufacturing facilities all over China in places such as Hangzhou, Ningbo, Taizhou, Chengdu, Jinzhong, Xi'an. Geely currently uses these facilities to produce a full range of models including SUVs, sedans, crossovers.

 

5G FACTORY

The super connected 5G factory has the capacity of rolling out 30 cars in a hour (1 car in 2 minutes) with the help of automated robots that make everything runs smoothly without interruptions.

The factory is fully automated thanks to various devices and cloud services to monitor inventory levels and production status. If inventory is running low, the robots will activate and deliver the relevant parts.

BLACK LIGHT FACTORY

The black light factory in Xian does not require manual operation, all of which is handed to robots that make sure the production is smooth and without interruptions.
In addition to CMA based products, the factory can also produce SEA based products, covering different models of pure electric, hybrid, and traditional fuel vehicles.

That is why we announced the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045 and reducing whole vehicle lifecycle carbon emissions of 25% by 2025.
